Mortal Kombat, In the Workplace?
Quite Possibly one of the funniest Commercials I’ve seen in a long time.
Pay Friends by Sending Text Messages
TextPayMe.com is offering $5 for signing up for their mobile payment service. No credit card or bank account needed. Signup literally takes 5 minutes tops, I just did it myself.
Only catch is you must have a cell phone with text messaging to signup.
You can even request a check for your $5 for free via mail or if you prefer you can have it directly deposited if you give them your information (you don’t have to).
TextPayMe.com is a revolutionary new service that lets you send money to friends, family and whoever you want by simply sending a text message to their cell phone. There is a PIN number you create to protect your account from unauthorized uses and they even call you to confirm your payment.
No more waiting to use the ATM machine is great, you can pay back (or get paid back) instantly. Movies, dinner, etc…
Also TextPayMe.com is a reliable service, they have actually been around for almost a year and a half now.

A Girl’s Guide to Geek Guys
A Girl’s Guide to Geek Guys was written by Mikki Halpin and Victoria Maat. I found it slightly imusing. I’m going to print it out and have Betty read it. Maybe then, she’ll understand my ways.

Writely Invites
I’m going to give out about 20 or so invites for Writely.com
Just leave a comment and I might send you one. Maybe tell me why you want one, or why you think you deserve one. Why? Because, that’s the mood I’m in. Maybe, I’ll do a first come first serve. I’ll probably be inundated with requests so, maybe a trade? An offer? Humor me.
New Gtalk
Google has come out with their new Beta of Gtalk. I don’t think they really wanted this to get out quite yet because it would have been provided for download at their website but that’s ok. It’s the way of the pirate. Gtalk at first was a little hokey, trying to make it in the world of AIM, MSN, ICQ, blah, blah, blah. But I’ve actually learned to love it. Why do I like it?
1. Saved Chat History
You can pull up and search a chat that you had with your friends. Search for links that were sent to you and blackmail high end politicians!
2. Better UI
The UI (User Interface) for with the new Gtalk beta is way better than anything else I’ve seen. Google is really starting to get an eye for design. Or rather, hiring people with an eye for design.
3. Pictures
I can put a picture of myself so people can identify me easier. Plus, with my good looks, who wouldn’t want to chat with me? If I can put a picture of my friend on my phone so that when he calls me I can see who it is, why can’t I do that with my chat?
4. VoIP
VoIP is a new way to talk to people. Instead of going through traditional phone lines you can go through your computer’s internet connection making all calls anywhere in the world free. That’s right, as long as the reciever of the call has internet all your calls between the two parties are free. All voice communication are just packets of data. What is the difference between sending a picture, or sending your voice. Get it? Gtalk allows you to do VoIP as well as text chat.
5. Merging
It seems like everything Google (GOOG) puts out becomes part of another program. Soon maybe Google will only have one application. This will simplify the world.
6. Sticking it to ‘da man
Support Google and help destroy the capatalistic machines of the technological society. These people would include AOL, Microsoft, MSN, Yahoo, get the picture? Which brings me to my next and final point.
7. Free
Yes, Free. Everything Google puts out to the techno-society is free.
Town of 12,000 calls in bomb squad over Super Mario power-up cubes
Sorry, You’re just gonna have to Read this one. It just goes to show you how dumb people can be sometimes, and by dumb I don’t mean the girls. Here is where they got their idea.
