If you know me then you know that I have recently gotten seriously into photography. Well, what a great way to start off the new year but My Photos have been viewed officially 23,000 times. My goal for the new year is 100,000 views and at least 60 Photos that have made it to Flickr’s Explore
Happy New Year everyone! I’ve been putting off writing but I went home for Christmas (Lancaster, CA) It was awesome to see friends and family but I can’t wait to go back to good ol’ Hawaii.

Since bananas have no seeds, all banana crops are just clones of each other. In the 1950s, the world’s most popular banana, Gros Michel, was devastated by an unstoppable fungus. Now we eat bananas called Cavendish that aren’t as good but more resistant. A new strain of that fungus is now destroying the Cavendish. Soon no more bananas!

Ok, so we know now that global warming is really happening. However, the real question is are we having anything to do with it? Is this just a normal climate cycle or are we in fact harming our environment.
“For the first time the rising ocean levels have washed away an inhabited island. Lohachara island was at one point home to some 10,000 people. It, along with several other spits of land near the Indian mainland, is now permanently underwater. From the article: ‘ As the seas continue to swell, they will swallow whole island nations, from the Maldives to the Marshall Islands, inundate vast areas of countries from Bangladesh to Egypt, and submerge parts of scores of coastal cities. Eight years ago … the first uninhabited islands – in the Pacific atoll nation of Kiribati – vanished beneath the waves. The people of low-lying islands in Vanuatu, also in the Pacific, have been evacuated as a precaution, but the land still juts above the sea. The disappearance of Lohachara, once home to 10,000 people, is unprecedented.’”

Inside Joe’s Head, which is me, would like to wish all of my readers a Merry Christmas. I wanted to do this earlier but, eh why lie, I was lazy. However, seeing how Christmas is almost over I thought I should say something. So Merry Christmas everyone! Being home has been great, I never realized how many people I didn’t know read my blog. I felt like a celebrity kind of. People coming up to me wanting to shake my hand and stuff.
It was really good to play in the orchestra again and to see my brothers. I ate lunch with Pastor Chappell yesterday and we talked about his trip to Europe and just had some really good fellowship. He asked me what I was doing over the summer and he through some stuff at me that sounds like a lot of fun. God really has been good to me.
I fly out tomorrow to San Francisco to spend time with my Dad, David, and to visit my Aunt Alice and take care of some family business and fix a computer while I’m up there.
This is going to sound weird but I’m actually glad that Christmas is over. I love the holiday and the meaning behind it. I just don’t like wrapping, and buying stuff for people I don’t know/like, the ads and hype over things. I think it’s just that people expect so much around Christmas time and you can’t make everyone happy so someone gets stepped on or hurt. Plus, I have to go to department stores over the next couple of days and return presents. Every year I get collard shirts that don’t fit. So I’ll stand in line in a store, and get a store credit, when in fact, all of this could have been avoided if a gift card was the original gift. I feel bad for them because they feel obligated to by me something, I don’t buy them anything, and then I have to go return it all. Does this make any sense?
I signed up for eHarmony the other day. Just wondering who I’m compatible with. After answering what seemed like an eternity of questions I found 4 girls in the entire country that might be compatible with me. Am I really that weird? One of them lives in Southern California, I got really excited but I have to sign up in order to make communication. $49.95 a month!? I’m not that desperate yet.
Anyways. Merry Christmas everyone. Here’s your gift. Wallpaper for your desktop! Yay!

Wise Bread wrote an article about how the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” was considered communist propaganda and sent out a the posted memo’s below. Apparently the
‘FBI thought [It's a Wonderful] Life smeared American values such as wealth and free enterprise while glorifying anti-American values such as the triumph of the common man.’
I can see their point.

For more information you can read the Wise Bread article Here.
