OpenOffice is an cost effective alternative to Microsoft Office, and by cost effective I mean FREE! That’s right. You get Microsoft Office’s Powerpoint, Excel, Word, et cetera. How is it free? Because OpenOffice is OpenSource. Actually it I like it better. I replaced my MS Office 3 years ago on my PC and never regretted it. I almost was fired from Best Buy because I would recommend it over Microsoft Office. So there you have it.

While traveling back from Seattle, Washington to Lancaster, CA I decided to stop by in Berkeley to visit some family. I stayed with my Aunt’s who told me that they were going to attend a War protest in San Francisco. I thought it’d be fun and a great opportunity to take some awesome photos. It was very hippie and I had a great time just being there regardless of my political position on the matter. I have finished picking the ones that I like and putting them into an easy set, so here you are. Photos from the protest.

Getting one photo on flickr’s Explore is quite an achievement but having 12 is awesome! This is the most yet, and hopefully more will come. Anyone need a wedding photographer? Family portraits? I’m your man.

Foldschool shows you how you can get free furniture by making it yourself with cardboard! They supply printable patterns and directions. This is very cute and helpful, especially if you’re a poor college student, or just a poor person in general like me!
