RSS to iPod

Don’t you hate it when you don’t have the time to sit at your desk and go through your RSS feeds? I do. It would be really nice to read my RSS feeds at the doctor’s office, boring parties, at the beach. I don’t know why I never thought of this before but I found a great tool to help me get my RSS feeds onto my iPod. It is called iFeedPod and if you are an RSS junkie like me then this is a must. It takes your feeds automatically collects them converts them into notes and puts them on your iPod. I was actually quite amazed at the speed at which this was performed. Best part of all is that it is FREE.

Hula Halau ‘O Kamuela kahiko

Hula Halau ‘O Kamuela kahiko

I was talking to a friend and she was interested in the different types of dance between New Zealand, Samoan, Tahitian, etc. So I found myself scouring youtube for some footage. Well, I stumbled upon this hula that I thought was very good and entertaining to watch and listen to. I hope you like it:

Why You Should Use GMail

I have been using Gmail since my first invite a couple of years ago and I have to say that I’m never going to switch. Furthermore, everyone I’ve ever told to get Gmail and took my advice thanked me later because it changed their lives in ways that only they could describe. It’s kind of like a really good chocolate truffle, satisfying yet hard to put into words. Luckily Google has put together a neat little video to explain to you the wonders of Gmail.

By the way, Gmail just announced that they are allowing 20MB attachments. Sweet!

iWear – WEAR your iPod

iWear is a product that actually allows you to wear your accessory on your clothing.

From the website…

• Practically invisible! It is hidden behind your clothes and leaves the front row to the iPod design itself.
• You can use it with practically any clothes such as jeans, skirt, pants, T-Shirt, sweater or even a scarf.
• (up to 1 mm textile thickness).
• It can be attached and detached with one movement.
• iWear does not use any chemical glue or something which harm your clothes.
• It holds your iPod safely but does not prevent your movements.

The PC Decrapifier

The PC Decrapifier

So, you’re the proud owner of a new PC. You anxiously open the box, dumping out the contents, casting the instructions aside. You feverishly push your old PC off the desk and get the new one set up. On the floor lies a pile of plastic wrap and twist ties. Your brand spanking new PC boots up only to greet you with a plethora of pop up advertisements pestering you to pay for anti-virus software or sign up for a music service. Your desktop is littered with website links for ‘special offers.’ The system tray is already full of programs that continuously use your internet connection to make sure that you’re ‘up to date.’

“When did I ask for this?” you ask. Well, you didn’t and that’s where the PC Decrapifier comes in. The PC Decrapifier attempts to remove all of the crap on your PC that you never asked for or wanted. To manually remove all of this stuff by hand can take at least an hour (depending on the severity of the infestation.) The PC Decrapifier will detect the ‘crap’ on your system, you choose what to uninstall, then sit back and let the PC Decrapifier work its magic.

All of this stuff is placed on your new PC because the big companies like Dell, HP and others sell advertising space on your PC to put more money in their pockets at the expense of your time and frustration.

The PC Decrapifier is a program free for personal use to help the average computer user combat this problem. It is also available for PC technicians at a small fee to use as a tool in their everyday business to save a tremendous amount of time.

Michael Tyson’s AutoRate

AutoRate is a nifty little program that automatically rates your itunes music with the following formula:

rating = (100 * ( (play frequency – lower) / (upper – lower) ) – skips per month * 5

I’ve tried it and it worked great. I’m glad because I often dwell on what to rate a song and sometimes can’t decide. I know, you should see me at 31 flavors, it’s not a pretty site.
